Well……even though the Halifax Cantaloupe Festival has been canceled this year we are still celebrating local agriculture with our Cantaloupe Sunday!

We will get your taste buds excited with a little cantaloupe sangria, port cantaloupe melon balls, cantaloupe salsa and prosciutto wrapped cantaloupe all served OUTSIDE under the pavilion.

Just a little bit of information you might like to know…the Turbeville Cantaloupe was the first agricultural product in the USA to receive a patent! And did you know that Halifax County cantaloupes are a super fruit which deliver a full day’s requirement of Vitamins A and C in a single serving. Just trying to keep you healthy.

We are getting our cantaloupes from Reese’s Farm Fresh Produce, a local farm that supports our community! Be sure to get your local cantaloupes and try some of our ideas at home.
